Drones flew handbags down the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana show.

When Dolce & Gabbana launched their Autumn/Winter 2018 women's collection during Milan Fashion Week, they replaced models with drones!

The audience were in for a surprise when drones whizzed down the ramp, carrying handbags from the brand's latest collection.

Flown by drones, the bags hover over the catwalk.

The show attempted to break the boundaries of fashion and technology.

The spellbound audience take selfies as bags in white, black and red make an appearance on the runway.

Once the drones whizzed past the runway leaving a spellbinding trail, models dressed in Dolce & Gabbana's latest collection strode the ramp. This model showcased sunglasses with matching head gear and accessories.

Titled Fashion Devotion, the collection paid homage to the Oratorio di Santa Cita church in Sicily.

The collection saw models dressed in brocade, Venetian pink cardigans, sweatshirts and devotional trinkets.

But it were the quirky sunglasses that caught our attention.

Don't miss the painting on this Virgin Mary sweatshirt.

The designer also incorporated several items from the church in his collection.

A model walks down the runway in a purple track pants and a sweatshirt with the words 'Fashion is Beautiful' written on it.

The collection also had silhouettes that were a declaration of love from the designer to the industry.
