Rediff.com's Ashish Narsale finds out what's so exciting about Player Unknown's Battlegrounds latest version.
Game developer Tencent Games and PUBG Corp have launched PUBG Mobile lite for lower configuration mobile phones devices having less than 2 GB RAM.
The download package is reduced to just 400 MB.
In the original PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds up to 100 players parachute onto a remote island locate where they scavenge their own weapons, vehicles and supplies to defeat every player in a visually and tactically rich battleground.
The lite version built with Unreal Engine 4 features a smaller map made for 60 players.
The new version is not more than 10 minutes long but promises not to compromise on the gameplay experience.
PUBG Mobile lite is available for download on the Google Play Store.
Some features of PUBG Mobile Lite:
Enhanced aim assist
Has new auxiliary aim assist, to make aiming simpler.
Simplified control for crawling and standing positions preserving the PUBG Mobile experience.
Upgrade to winner pass
Upgarded the Winner Pass to Royale Pass to give much faster achievement unlocks and span a month, with rewards on offer.
Bullet trail adjustment
Increased bullet speed but with no bullet drop effect.
Weapon recoil suppression
Suppresses the weapon recoil to a certain amount to facilitate better game-control in weak networks.
Adds different experience of each weapon susch as different guns with different gun pressure effects.
Extended time to kill
Encourages aggressive play with extended time to kill.
Location display
The map provides shooter location in a mini-map for increased battle speed.
Heal yourself while moving
In the new version, players will be able to heal themselves in all stance except for when they are prone for increase survivability.
Building areas/ Supplies optimisation
There are smaller maps, with increased building density and loot frequency.
Map quality optimisation
The optimised map comes with parachute loading screen.
RPG and new firearm integration
New weapon in selected game modes for attack and defense tactics.
