These are some of the most eagerly-anticipated gadgets likely to grace the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona between March 2 and 5. We expect plenty of fireworks!

Mobile World Congress has been one of the most sought after event since the rise of smartphone era and has allowed big players like HTC, Samsung and Sony along with new entrants to showcase their upcoming gadgets. This year at MWC 2015, all the smartphone manufacturers will be ready to share the centre stage once again and we expect some really big flagship models get unveiled at Barcelona.

Let us take a look at some of the gadgets that can see the light of day at MWC 2015:

1. Sony Xperia Z4

The successor of Xperia Z3 is expected to hit MWC 2015 as Sony may bring out its latest flagship gadget by the name of Sony Xperia Z4. The smartphone is expected to have a 5.5-inch QHD display and run on a 64-bit processor.

If rumours are to be believed, Sony Xperia Z4 can have a mind boggling 4GB RAM that should remove any doubts on overall functional speed of the smartphone. The device is also said to have a 20.7MP primary camera and a 3,420mAh standard lithium-ion battery that keeps the device at par with any flagship smartphone in the world.

2. Samsung Galaxy S6

The Galaxy S series is one of the most power packed smartphone series in the history of Android phones and have always managed to win the specifications game, at least on paper. However, after the launch of S4, Samsung Galaxy S5 failed to garner the same sales and aura which means that the South Korean firm has a point to prove with this year's Galaxy S6.

We expect the firm to come out all guns blazing with another beefy set of specs but hopefully a better design, a section that has so far been the weak point of Samsung smartphones.

3. Huawei Ascend Mate 7

The Chinese smartphone maker would be keen to make its mark at MWC 2015 with Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and with the specs that we have heard it to feature, the expectations may not be that far-fetched after all. Huawei Ascend Mate 7 will run on an octa-core processor from HiSilicon Kirin 925 SoC with four cores clocking in at 1.8GHz speed and the other four at 1.3GHz of speed.

RAM will be 2GB for the device that should keep the device fast paced and agile. The display size for the gadget will be 5.5-inch with LCD technology whereas the camera section would offer a 13MP rear shutter.

4. HTC One M9

This will be the new flagship smartphone for the Taiwanese firm, as HTC One M9 will be the follow up to its predecessor HTC One M8. The gadget is expected to retain its premium appearance and will be available in the same colours of gold, silver and grey.

Under the hood, we expect HTC One M9 to house a Qualcomm dual quad-core processor from Snapdragon 810 along with the brand new layer of HTC Sense 7 UI on top of Android Lollipop.

A lot of buyers felt hard done by the ultra pixel technology with previous HTC gadgets and thus the firm this time is planning to incorporate the same in front facing camera and keeping a 20MP backup for the rear shutter.

5. Microsoft Lumia 1330

Microsoft seems all set to put its name for the Lumia handsets as Microsoft Lumia 1330 sets to get the centre stage at MWC 2015. The device will have a 5.7-inch display and hold under the hood a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core chip along with 1GB RAM. Reports also say that the new Windows smartphone will have a 14MP PureView snapper along with a 5MP front camera that will certainly augur well with the users.

6. Asus ZenWatch

The Taiwan firm is expected to release the next ZenWatch in the third quarter of the year but we might see the prototype at MWC 2015. This wearable device will have voice calling feature among many other that can excite the users, especially with the fact that the device is going to be priced much more economically than other smartwatches like the Moto 360, Samsung Galaxy Gear and the upcoming Apple Watch.

These are some of the most anticipated gadgets likely to grace the Mobile World Congress 2015. We expect plenty of fireworks this year.

Note: The actual pictures when these smartphones and smartwatch is unveiled at MWC 2015 could be different from those shown here
