Skullcandy Push has all the basic utilities and is great for music but the pair will not impress professionals, says Khalid Anzar.
From good on-battery time to comfortable in-ear design and water resistance, the Skullcandy Push wireless earbuds have a lot going for them.
Design (3/5)
The earbuds have a sleek design with a classy gradient colour finish on the outside.
The arc-shaped silicone lobes are comfortable.
Both the earbuds have an LED indicator at the bottom, a big circular button on the outside and three pogo charging pin connectors inside; both also have a dedicated microphone.
The charging case, however, does not match the quality and look of the earbuds.
It has a capsule-shaped design with gradient plastic flap on the top and an unremarkable black base with four blue charging indicators.
It also has a bulky profile that makes it inconvenient to carry.
Performance (4/5)
The Skullcandy Push is aimed at audiophiles.
But the pair also has most of the features that make for good wireless earbuds, such as calling and voice assistance.
A dedicated button on each earbud with different functions is a good touch.
For example, a double click on the left earbud reduces the volume and a double click on the right increases it.
But these properties are fixed and cannot be customised.
Another conspicuous miss is wireless charging support.
The Skullcandy Push is a performer when it comes to music.
Though the earbuds fall short in terms of noise cancellation, the audio quality is brilliant.
They also do well at handling calls.
In loud environments, however, the microphones struggle to separate your voice from background noise.
The Push has an on-battery time of around five hours -- not exceptional, but decent.
Overall (3.5/5)
Priced at Rs 9,999, the Skullcandy Push has all the basic utilities and is great for music but the pair will not impress professionals and people using them outdoors.
