What was your childhood dream job?

A recent survey by professional networking company LinkedIn reveals that the most sough after job Indian men wanted as children was that of an engineer and most Indian women as kids dreamt of becoming teachers.

What Indian men and women thought about their dream careers as children came out as part of LinkedIn's Dream Jobs survey for which they spoke with 8,000 professionals, 415 out of which were Indians.

A close look at the figures reveal that more Indian men aspire to become engineers as children and for women their dream jobs is of being a teacher.

On a global scale, nearly one out of every three LinkedIn members surveyed (30.3 per cent) stated that they either currently have their childhood dream job or work in a career related to their childhood dream job.

Professionals who said they don't have their childhood dream job were most likely to cite, 'As I got older, I became interested in a different career path,' as the primary reason they work in an unrelated field (43.5 per cent).
