Last date to register for CAT is September 27

The new deadline for sending in applications for the Common Admission Test (CAT) is 5 pm, Tuesday, September 27.

According to an official notification on the CAT website, the last date for registering for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 has been extended by five days (from September 22).

The deadline for sending in applications is 5 pm, Tuesday, September 27 IST.

"The total number of submitted applications (so far) is 2.08 lakhs, which is far in excess of the applications for the comparable period last year."

"The corresponding number last year was 1.83 lakhs," said Professor Rajendra K Bandi, Convenor, CAT 2016.

Students can download their CAT 2016 Admit Cards on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 1 pm onwards.

The CAT 2016 is scheduled on Sunday, December 4, 2016.
