Karan Kundrra's smashing style and ripped physique may make girls go weak in their knees and want to ask him out on a date.

But this Valentine's Day, the Jalandar-born actor is not looking for love; in fact, he's out to help girls find their perfect match.

Karan, who made his debut in 2008 with Kitani Mohabbat Hai, is all set to play Love Guru in Flipkart Video's new reality show, Dating Aaj Kal where he will be mentoring young girls to help them find the right partner.

Naturally, we asked Karan to give us some cool dating tips.

While he's all for modern dating apps and virtual relationships, when it comes to long-term relationships, Karan still believes in old school romance.

"Look your best. Keep it real," he tells Rajesh Karkera/Rediff.com in a candid chat about how to make your first date work.

"Try to find out how compatible you are, how you feel about each other," Karan says, as he goes on to share the one mistake to absolutely avoid when you meet your partner for the first time.

"Please put your phone away," he insists, as he reveals how youngsters are too busy clicking pictures and chatting away on a date instead of enjoying the moment. "You want to show the other person 'you're important'."
