We'd asked you, dear readers, to take a selfie and tell us which your favourite books are.
Today, Ajeet Scott, principal, Wesleyan English Medium Higher Secondary School, Rajnandgaon, Chattisgarh writes about the book that inspired him.

IMAGE: Ajeet Scott is inspired by The Story of My Life, the autobiography of blind and deaf American author, activist and teacher Hellen Keller.

The Story of My Life by legendary Helen Keller has been a tremendous source of inspiration for me.

She (Hellen Keller) emerged triumphant over the unprecedented physical anomaly being blind and deaf.

Her own words in the book revealed hers no turning back attitude.

Her intimacy with her teacher Anne Sullivan reminds us of the sublime bond between the two.

For Helen Keller, the late British prime minister Winston Churchill's words were 'The greatest woman of our age.'

You too can participate and send us your responses.

Take a selfie with your favourite book/author and send it to getahead@rediff.co.in (subject: My Favourite Book) along with your NAME, AGE, LOCATION and a small brief about the book/author you like.

We'll publish the best responses right here on Rediff.com.
