College life is pretty much the most colourful and hectic phase in anyone's lives. Whether it's scampering for lectures, field trips, classes or just chilling with friends, the most important bit here is the commute. A two-wheeler certainly solves the commute problems but then, that very two-wheeler also says a lot about you.

The KTM was the flag bearer of the college-going crowd. With a very radical design and the finish in some bright orange shades, nothing screams young and vibrant like the KTM Duke. To add to that, you get a number of accessories to make the bike an extension of your personality.
The Duke isn't just show and no go. In fact it's got plenty of go thanks to a very potent 200cc engine that puts out 26 PS, making it an absolute joy to hoon around the city. The KTM Duke 200 is priced at Rs 1.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Low-slung cruisers have always been a hit in our country and the evergreen Avenger has always been one of the most popular bikes for young guns. In its latest avatar, the Avenger gets a 150cc twin-spark DTS-i engine that puts out 14.5 PS of power and 12.5Nm of torque. This small displacement cruiser is also the most affordable bike in its segment at Rs 75,700 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Now this bike makes us wish we were college kids too. The Gixxer came out as a pretty successful offering from Suzuki and not without reasons. For starters, it is a great looking bike thanks to that chiselled tank and overall muscular design. The 155 cc engine is refined and has plenty of oomph for a bike in its class.
And if you like fairings, there is the Gixxer SF as well. The Suzuki Gixxer is priced at Rs 77,650, while the Gixxer SF comes for Rs 85,268 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The latest kid on the block from TVS has been a long time coming. And we think it has been worth the wait thanks to its new beefy look. The edgy body panels, matte shades, cool looking DRLs, along with those brilliant petal discs are sure to make heads turn at the college parking lot. Its sounds the bit too thanks to a new fuel injected/carbed 200 cc engine.
The new Apache is priced at Rs 88,900 and Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the carbureted and fuel injected versions, respectively.
Piaggio Vespa

Scooters are a great hit in college thanks to their practicality and convenience. And if you get added styling, it's like the cherry on the cake. Nothing speaks style more than the Piaggio Vespa, which defines the retro modern look.
Available in vibrant shades, the Vespa also gets a complete metal body. The Vespa is offered in three different models with the base model priced at Rs 77,308, going up to Rs 88,696 for the Vespa SXL 150.
Yamaha Fascino

Another scooter that makes the list is the Yamaha Fascino. Just like the Vespa, the Fascino follows a retro modern design as well. Yamaha has done well to add plenty of good-looking details to the scooter like the smooth design lines and the chrome accents. The Fascino is powered by the same 113cc engine that does duty in other Yamaha scooters.
Priced at Rs 53,100 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Fascino makes for a good choice for the style-oriented youngster on a budget.
Honda Navi

The Navi screams young the moment you lay your eyes on it. A cross between a scooter and a motorcycle, the Navi is a first of its kind. What really makes it ideal for the college crowd are the customisation options that will be available for the Navi.
It's also quite peppy thanks to the minimal body weight and the 110cc engine borrowed from the Activa. What makes it even more ideal is the price. At Rs 39,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Navi is just as affordable as it is stylish.
Royal Enfield Classic 350

Now this might not be the ideal bike for the college-going kind, but it's something they yearn for and if they're lucky, some even manage to convince their parents for it. The good bit is that the Classic is now available in a range of new colours that go well with the young crowd. The 350cc UCE engine has the thump to turn heads as well.
At Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Royal Enfield Classic 350 should definitely be on your wish list.
