The iconic British bike maker, Triumph Motorcycle, has unveiled two new variants of its adventure machine, Tiger 800, at the 2015 India Bike Week. The company has introduced Tiger 800 XRx and XCx for the Indian market, which will be available in India soon. Both the variants have received many advanced features (common as well as distinctive ), which makes them special for different purposes.

Common features of the 2015 Triumph Tiger 800 XRx and Xcx
The new Tiger 800 XRx and XCx come fitted with advanced configurable RIDER modes along with ROAD and OFF-ROAD riding modes, so you can choose the one according to your requirement. High-end safety features of the motorcycles include 4-mode traction control and cruise control, to help and assist the rider on long journeys.
The high performance braking is achieved by twin 308mm front and single 245mm rear disc brakes with Nissin 2-piston and 1-piston calipers respectively. Switchable ABS assist also joins the list of standard features to make the braking safer on any terrain.
Other standard features on the new Tigers have been retained from the existing model, like trip computer, auxiliary 12V power socket, adjustable brake and clutch levers, adjustable seat height and hand guards.
Special features of the Triumph Tiger 800 XRx
The XRx model of the bike runs on 10-spoke alloys and Showa powered suspension set-up. It features optimised 43mm telescopic inverted forks at the front and monoshock suspension with hydraulically adjustable preload. The bike also gets an adjustable wind screen at the front for better air protection.
Special features of the Triumph Tiger 800 XCx
Being a better off-road riding option, the XCx model features a fully adjustable suspension set-up, powered by WP Performance Systems. The set-up includes 43mm inverted front forks with adjustable rebound along with compression damping and a rear monoshock suspension with remote oil reservoir, featuring adjustable preload and rebound damping adjustments. The bike gets a higher ground clearance along with durable spoke wheels and a high mounted front fender. Different types of protectors like radiator guard, engine protection bars and aluminium sump guard, have been provided on the bike.
Engine and performance
The 2015 Triumph Tiger 800 XRx and XCx sports the same 800cc, inline three cylinder engine, which propels the Tiger 800 XC. It also retains the same 6-speed gearbox, wet-multiplate clutch assembly and multi-point sequential port fuel injection system. However, the new versions claim to return up to 17 per cent improved fuel efficiency, without affecting the performance.
The liquid-cooled motor churns out power up to 94bhp at 9,250rpm and delivers torque upto 79Nm at 7,850rpm.
