India's top 10 fuel-efficient bikes

We in India are obsessed with fuel efficiency and that's the reason why the entry-level commuter segment is the most popular in the country. MotorBeam take has a look at the 10 most frugal bikes in India.

The Hero Splendor iSmart returns a claimed mileage of 100 km/l, making it the most frugal motorcycle in the country.

The Bajaj CT 100 is a close second in terms of mileage and returns a whopping 99.1 km/l

On third spot is another Bajaj, the Platina 100 ES, which has a claimed mileage number of 96.9 km/l.

The TVS Sport enters this list with a mileage of 95 km/l.

The Splendor is back again, this time in non-iSmart guise, returning an efficient 93.2 km/l.

Another Hero on the list with the same engine, the Hero HF manages an impressive 88.5 km/l./p>

The sole Mahindra on this list, the Centuro claims to return 85.2 km/l.

Yamaha's recent launch, the Saluto RX 110 is a frugal commuter with a claimed mileage of 82 km/l.

The popular TVS Victor manages 76 km/l and is ninth on the list of most frugal motorcycles in India.

Finally, Suzuki's sole entry in the mileage club is all thanks to the Hayate EP which claims to return 76 km/l.
