What: Birla Institute of Technology and Science offers a computer based online test (BITSAT- 209) for admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes, First Semester 2009-10. All admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS , Pilani at Pilani campus, Goa campus and Hyderabad campus will be made on the basis of this test.

Details:

~ It is a three-hour test, to be taken at dedicated computer centres in different cities in India. It will consist of multiple choice questions, and will be conducted during May 9- June 12, 2009.

~ First rank students of all central and state boards in India for the year 2009 will be given direct admission to the program of thier choice, irrespective of thier BITSAT-2009 score.

Am I eligible:

~ You must have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised Central or State Board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

~ You must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the 12th standard examination, with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

~ You must be proficient in English.

~ You must be appearing for the 12th standard examination in 2009, or have passed the examination in 2008

How to apply:

~ Interested candidates should register for BITS-2009 by filling out the form at https://www.bitsadmission.com/ The printout of the form alongwith a fee of Rs. 1000 (Rs. 500 for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS Pilani- 333031.

~  Application forms are available via post till January 21, 2009 from the BITS office by sending a request with the candidate's name and gender alongwith the postal address and a demand draft for Rs. 1100 (Rs. 600 for female candidates) in favour of Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

Deadline: The completed form should be submitted by 31st January, 5:00 pm.
