Mysore Univ's MSc in Food Technology

What: The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI) invites applications for the 2-year MSc (Food Technology) degree course of the University of Mysore for the years 2008-2010.

Eligibility Criteria
~ Bachelor Degree in Science with Chemistry/ Biochemistry as one of the subjects or Agriculture/ Engineering/ Technology.
~ Mathematics as one of the subjects in 12th Class or Pre-University or at Degree levels compulsory for admission.
~ Applicants should check eligibility criteria prior to applying, as the Bank Demand Draft of Rs 500/- is non-refundable.
~ Admission is based on merit as evidenced by academic records of the qualifying degree exams and also on the performance in the entrance examination.

Minimum marks requirement
1. 55% in optional subjects of BSc pass course (50% for SC/ST category)
2. 50% for BSc (Hons) course (45% for SC/ST category)
3. Minimum second class for Agriculture/Engineering/Technology
4. Those who have appeared for final year examination and expect to get stipulated marks or class can also apply. Marks/ Grades of all the years of qualifying degree examination should reach this office as soOn as possible, but not later than July 31, 2008.

Entrance/ aptitude test
Students who meet the eligibility criteria are required to take an entrance/ aptitude test which will be held at Mysore and New Delhi on July 20, 2008.

Reservation*
For SC/ST

and Persons with physical disabilities.
~ Applicable for admission to the course as per the Government Orders in this regard.

~ Candidates claiming reservation under the specific category are to provide attested documents as proof in support of their claims.

This information and application form are available at the website: www.cftri.com.  Application forms can be downloaded from the website and the duly completed application form in all respects may be sent to the Director, CFTRI, Mysore 570 020 along with a DD for Rs500/- drawn in favour of DIRECTOR, CFTRI, MYSORE, on or before June 6, 2008.
