GET AHEAD

Have you studied in America?

July 05, 2007

If you are an Indian student currently studying in America, you've already learnt a lot. Whether you've just finished your freshman year or completed a second PhD, you have valuable knowledge about studying abroad.

On the other hand, you could be someone who has finished studying in the US and is now working there.

Or you could have decided to come back and follow a career in India.

Think back to when you left. Do you remember how nervous you were?

You probably had tons of questions, just like this:

Will people understand me? Will I able to understand them?

Will I be able to handle the shock of a new culture?

How will immigrations and customs treat me at the airport?

Will I be able to make friends?

Will other Indians help me out?

These questions may seem silly to you now, but not to students just beginning the process. Share your experience by answering questions from those preparing to leave.

Go to the study abroad category in Rediff Get Ahead Q & A.

Click on a question you'd like to answer.

Click on the orange Answer This Question button and begin answering. While answering, do mention which college you are from, the name of the course you are doing and the number of years you have spent in the US. Feel free to answer as many questions as you possibly can.

It's a great way to help out.

So, click here to begin!
