Study US: Ask your questions here

It's that time of year again. If you're going to study in America this August, which is when the new term begins, you will be in the process of getting your visa, packing your bags and booking your airline ticket.

You must be feeling quite excited, but you're probably feeling some anxiety as well.

Is it possible to network before you leave?

Will someone pick you up from the airport and take you to my dormitory?

Will you pack too much? Will you pack too little?

Will you be homesick? How can you stay in touch with your family?

Will you unknowingly break the law and get yourself into trouble?

Are there Indian students at your university who will help you adjust to life in America?

Is it possible to find dal and rice?

Will you even understand you American classmates and professors? Will they understand you?

Will you be able to befriend Americans?

Relax, these are natural concerns and perfectly normal questions. Don't let stress get you down.

Use the Rediff Get Ahead Q & A at the bottom of the screen to ask your questions.

Who knows, the answer you get may just be the helping hand you need!
