Want a PG diploma in rural management?

What: The Institute of Rural Management, Anand, invites applications for its Post-graduate Diploma in Rural Management.

Programme details

~ Post-graduate Diploma in Rural Management, a two-year residential programme, is recognised as equivalent to a master's degree by the Association of Indian Universities and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

Are you eligible?

~ You must be a graduate with a minimum overall aggregate of 50 percent.

~ You could be a final year student provided all requirements are completed before June 4, 2007.

Important information

Are you a sponsored candidate?

~ You can apply as a sponsored candidate if you are an employee of a co-operative, an NGO/ voluntary agency, a government rural development agency or an apex rural development funding organisation designated by IRMA.

~ If you are a sponsored candidate, you must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline.

~ You could complete two years at a stretch, or opt for a Certificate in Rural Management at the end of the first year and rejoin PRM within three years to complete the programme.

Scholarships

~ The Institute offers the AMUL-TATA Fellowships of Rs 1,00,000 each based on merit and means.

~ There is a Sector Incentive Scholarship of Rs 1,00,000 each. This is paid after serving at an eligible designated organisation for three years immediately after completion of PRM.

~ The Sir Ratan Tata Trust, Mumbai, awards scholarships to meritorious students based on their performance in the first year.

~ The National Dairy Development Board, Anand, awards scholarships to SC/ ST candidates.

Selection method

~ You will be shortlisted on the basis of your performance in the written test to be held on November 26.

~ Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a group discussion followed by a personal interview.

~ Please send in your completed forms before October 20.

~ Obtain the application form and prospectus by sending a request along with a demand draft of Rs 100 in favour of Institute of Rural Management, Anand, payable at Anand, and three self-addressed envelopes 3" x 3" in size.
