What: Pravah and Voluntary Service Overseas are conducting the Global Xchange programme, a volunteer exchange programme for young people between 18 and 25 years old.
Details
~ The Global Xchange programme supports 18 to 25 year olds from across India to work with young people from the UK.
~ The programme will give young people from India and the UK a unique opportunity to work together, to develop and share valuable skills and to make practical contribution where it is needed in local communities.
~ As a Global Xchange volunteer, you will work as part of a team of 18 young people, nine from the UK and nine from India.
~ You will live and work in pairs (one from each country).
~ Together, each pair will live in a host home in the community and work on a project that contributes to the lives of the people in the host community.
~ The team spends three months in India and three months in the UK.
~ During the period, pairs will do voluntary work together on their placements.
~ The Xchange will pay for travel, accommodation, food, visas, medical costs, training and an allowance.
