What: The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2007 on May 20, 2007 for recruitment to the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and certain other Group A and Group B Central Services/ Posts.
The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Do you qualify?
~ You must be not less than 21 years and no more than 30 years as on August 1, 2007.
~ You must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university.
~ You must be physically fit according to the regulations given in Appendix-III of Rules for the Civil Services Examination, 2007 published in the Gazette of India dated December 16, 2006.
Number of attempts
~ The maximum number of attempts permissible of an aspirant is four times.

~ Please send in your completed application form before January 15, 2007.
How to apply
~ Please submit the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations. This can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post Offices (specified in Appendix-III of the Notice) throughout the country against a cash payment of Rs 20.
