e is the only designer showcasing only men's wear at the Lakme India Fashion Week 2005. "That's why I hope to make a fine style statement with my collection," grins Arjun Khanna.
This is what he has to say about it.
What you will see: A predominant Moroccan influence.
~ You will also see a lot of dori work, an ancient chord work commonly used in India. It is also used in Morocco.
~ Heavy denim, which have been treated to new wash techniques.
~ Heavy graded linen which can be used in the winter, because my collection is for Fall-Winter.
~ A profusion of colours. Think of any colour and it will be there in my clothes this year. But all of it will be used subtly!
Arjun's fashion tip: Manstyle is all about fine grooming, fitness and then clothing.
You have to feel good first in terms of fitness and grooming to then start wearing the right clothes.
Arjun's fashion musts for men
~ Fine denim. Any man should have fine denim in his wardrobe.
~ A black suit.
~ I would prefer Indian men to own a bandhgala or a kurta-churidar.
~ A good denim shirt.
All of this, of course, should be Arjun Khanna!
