Diamond trader and film financier Bharat Shah was arrested today, January 22, by the Mumbai city police after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him by a court in Silvassa. Police officers refused to divulge details of the case.
The warrant was received by the Malabar Hill police, who arrested the diamond trader from his residence in south Mumbai, police said.
Shah will be produced before a magistrate's court later in the day.
