The Khiladi star reportedly did a Houdini when he pulled off an underwater action sequence which required him to be in chains for Nagesh Kukunoor's forthcoming film, 8 X 10.
The actor underwent a special training course at Bangkok for the same.
Meanwhile, we hear that Nagesh is impressed by Akshay's track record at the Box Office. As a result the filmmaker is quite gung ho about his film.
"It is a supernatural film but more on the psychic side. Akshay has this unique ability in the film to see the future and the whole film unfolds through him," Nagesh says.
The film also has Ayesha Takia playing Akshay's love interest with Sharmila Tagore in a supporting role.
The movie which is almost completed was shot mostly in Canada.
