Though the Karnataka actor did not actually tie the knot again, some traditional formalities were performed there.
As we had reported earlier, Ganesh's marriage was fixed for the February 18 by the elders of both the families. But once the news of the marriage broke out in the media, Ganesh's female fans became so upset that they stormed his parents' house in a village near Nelamangala Taluk. Sensing more trouble, Ganesh decided to tie the knot to Shilpa on February 11 itself. The function took place at the residence of a relative of Shilpa's in J P Nagar, Bangalore. Only a few relatives of the couple were invited. The marriage was held at 11.00 pm.
Soon after, Ganesh became inaccessible to the press and even to his close friends and only resurfaced at Barkur on February 18 for the reception. As some of the traditional customs were not conducted in Bangalore, two Vaidiks were specially brought to complete all the traditional formalities.
Both the couple's relatives were present at the function although only a select few were allowed inside the resort. Press photographers and television channels had to force their way to get "exclusive" pictures!
