Sanjay Dutt ties the knot

February 11, 2008

The long wait is finally over. Sanjay Dutt has finally married his long time girlfriend Manyata (Dilnawaz Shaikh) on February 7.

The wedding, which was attended by close friends, was performed under the Special Marriage Act in Goa.

rediff.com contacted Dutt's close friend, Dharam Oberoi but he refused to comment on the issue.

Oberoi is the Chief Executive Officer of Sanjay Dutt Productions.

Meanwhile, another of Dutt's friend on condition of anonymity said that the marriage was performed according to Hindu rituals and will be solemnised on February 11.

This is Dutt's third marriage after his divorce proceedings against former model Rhea Pillai was formally completed last month. Manyata, a small time actress is mostly known for an item number in Prakash Jha's Gangajal.

Before Rhea, Dutt was married to actress Richa Sharma who died of cancer, and has a daughter, Trishala who lives in New York.

Last month Dutt shocked everyone when an advertisement in Saamna, a Shiv Sena mouthpiece appeared pronouncing him and Manyata as Sanjay Dutt and Manyata Dutt, while congratulating Shiv Sena Supremo, Bal Thackeray on his 82nd birthday.
