'Hrithik will surely go to Hollywood'

As Hrithik Roshan turns 33, filmmaker father Rakesh Roshan talks about him:

As the years are passing, I feel Hrithik is becoming a more and more responsible person. He has a family of his own and has started taking his own decisions in life. He doesn't tell me what he is doing in his life, and takes his own judgement. I don't get too involved in his life, and let him take his own decisions.

The year 2006 was one of the best for Hrithik after he gave two big hits, with Krrish and Dhoom 2.

He has grown leaps and bounds, and is working very hard to keep it going. I feel he is going in the right direction and taking the right approach to life.

I don't believe in number games, so I wouldn't like to say whether he is the number one star or the number two, but I would certainly say that Hrithik is a very dedicated actor.

I have always maintained that a good actor is a good actor. If a film fails, then the good actor's fate also suffers with the film, and they cannot be blamed for it.

Till date, Hrithik has put in a lot of effort to get into the skin of the character he's playing in his films.

There has been speculation by some media persons that Hrithik Roshan should be in Hollywood now, but I feel it is upto Hollywood to decide whether they want him or not. We in India may perceive him to be a great actor, but they have a different take on our films and our actors.

I think he will surely go to Hollywood in future, but only if the right kind of subject comes to him.

He is not signing any films hastily, and is waiting for the right opportunity. Earlier he had his failures, and he has learnt a lot from them.

As his father, I am always there for him.
