Taarzan – The Wonder Car! Interesting title, don't you think?

Directed by Abbas Mustan, Taarzan is about a car with supernatural powers! Stephen King's Christine, anyone?

Car designer Dilip Chhabria of DC Design turned the MR2 Toyota into a deep purple wonder car. The car itself takes Rs 2 crore from the film's whopping budget of Rs 15 crore.

Taarzan also introduces two newcomers to the big screen. Remember Vatsal Sheth, the cute teenager from television serial Just Mohabbat! and Ayesha Takia, better known as the Shake it daddy remix girl?

(An aside: Takia was initially offered the role in Farah Khan's Main Hoon Na that eventually went to Amrita Rao.)

After Masti, Ajay Devgan makes another special appearance here. What is his role? That's a surprise!

We can tell you the story though. Taarzan revolves around a mechanical genius Raj (Sheth) who works in Kartar Singh's (Amrish Puri) garage. The gifted Raj creates a supercar that can give Batman's Batmobile a run for its money. Meanwhile, Raj's sweetheart Priya (Takia) works equally hard to transform his personality from that of a geek to a hunk.

Fasten your seatbelts before you get into Taarzan – The Wonder Car, which hits the marquee on August 6.
