Sulking Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley on Thursday met party president Rajnath Singh, with whom the former reportedly had a disagreement over the appointment of businessman Sudhanshu Mittal as the party's co-convener in the North-East.
Jaitley drove to Singh's residence and held a meeting with him for about an hour. He refused to speak to the media while leaving Singh's residence.
Jaitley, upset over Mittal's appointment, has been avoiding the party's recent meetings to finalise its strategy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Displaying his unhappiness, Jaitley has been boycotting the meetings of the party's Central Election Committee.
Jaitley has maintained that he would not attend the CEC meetings till Mittal was removed.
Singh, on his part, has ruled out revoking his decision to appoint Mittal.
