"The present Parkash Singh Badal government will fall in the aftermath of Lok Sabha polls", he said while talking to media persons in Ferozepur at the residence of Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, MLA Guruharsahai.
He had come to Ferozepur to participate in the road show organised by the party to spearhead the election campaign of Congress candidate from Ferozepur Jagmeet Brar.
He, however, did not name the MLAs. On the issue of his aunt and former Congress Member of Parliament Amarjit Kaur joining SAD, he said that she had been in and out of the party several times in the past. She has been lured by the Akalis as they have promised her Rajya Sabha nomination, he said.
Amarinder said that he has never been in touch with her aunt since 1984 as she had hailed Operation Blue Star that time. While answering to a query regarding Dera Sacha Sauba extending support to the Congress, Amarinder said that his party has never taken help of any religion or sect to promote their political interests.
He said that the Congress was secular party with utmost respect for all religions, cast and creed. Cautioning the state bureaucracy and the police department of extending any undue favours to the ruling SAD-BJP candidates, he said that though most of the state officials have been imparting their duties in fair and impartial manner, some police officials posted in Bathinda were going out of the way to help the Akali candidates.
Talking about the implementation of fifth pay commission, he said that Badal was befooling the people of the state as he did not want nor he was in position to implement fifth pay commission report.
About the industrial policy of the SAD-BJP government, he said that the industry was bleeding in the state as the government had no policy nor any intension for the growth and development of the industrial sector -- as a result the industries were shifting out of the state.
He said that all projects which had been brought to the state by his government have come to standstill and companies like Reliance, Tropicana which were setting up their units in the state have lost interest due to erroneous policies of the present regime.
Amarinder said that the present SAD regime has unleashed reign of terror against the Congress workers regarding which a report has already been sent to the Election Commission. He alleged that more than 7000 FIR's have been registered against Congress leaders and workers, and around 42 of them have been ruthlessly killed due to vandalism of Akalis.
He said that there was strong anti-incumbency wave against the present SAD-BJP regime and Congress would bag all the 13 Lok Sabha seats in the state.
