Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sushma Swaraj said on Friday that all differences between party president Rajnath Singh and general secretary Arun Jaitley over an appointment of businessman Sudhanshu Mittal as co-convenor of North East region have been "sorted out".

"To my knowledge, it (differences between Singh and Jaitley) has been sorted out. Commenting on an issue which has already been sorted-out will only mean raking it up again," Swaraj told NDTV in an interview.

Jaitley was miffed at Singh's decision to appoint Mittal as co-convenor of North East region. In protest, Jaitley had kept away from the BJP's Central Election Committee meetings chaired by Singh.

Accusing the media of creating a hype, she said, "Some controversies needlessly become media creation. It is true that he (Jaitley) had taken a stand. It has been sorted out."

Ruling out differences between second generation leaders and camp politics in the BJP, Swaraj said, "If this was so which camp would the media put me in; Rajnath or L K Advani. This is completely wrong."

On the alleged inflammatory speeches given by Varun Gandhi, Swaraj said, "If it is true that he has made such statements, the party has already expressed its disagreement with his views and so am I."

Swaraj said Singh had told her that the CD has been tampered with and only a part of Varun's speech was shown. "If this has been done then it is an injustice to him," she said.
