A day after stating that she was not sure of National Democratic Alliance coming to power on its own, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and party candidate from Vidisha Lok Sabha seat Sushma Swaraj said on Thursday that she was "101 per cent confident" of the National Democratic Alliance coming to power at the Centre.

"I am 101 per cent confident that NDA will come to power on its own at the Centre and it would be amply clear in next 45 days," Swaraj told media persons after filing her nomination at Raisen for the Vidisha Lok Sabha seat. When asked about her statement on the issue of NDA, she said that the question was in different perspective and she was quoted out of context. It was in context with post-poll alliances.

When told that a survey ruled out the NDA forming a government at the Centre, she said that surveys were not always correct as in the year 2004 one of them predicted 300 seats for theNDA, but it lost. Earlier, Sushma filed her nomination for the Vidisha seat. She was accompanied by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
