Nafisa Ali richer than Sonia , Rahul put together

Samajwadi Party's nominee from Lucknow, Nafisa Ali might have been forgotten as a one-film Bollywood wonder and her husband a retired Army colonel, but as of date, she has more wealth than that of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi put together.

As per the affidavit submitted before the returning officer along with her nomination papers amid much fanfare in Lucknow on Wednesday, Nafisa Ali and her husband  Colonel PK Sodhi together owned assets to the tune of nearly Rs. 5 crore.

Sonia and Rahul's combined assets were shown to be worth about  Rs 3.7 crore.However, like Sonia and Rahul,  Nafisa too does not own a vehicle, though her husband owns three cars worth Rs.20

lakhs.

While Nafisa and her husband claim to be hold Rs. 112,000 in cash, they hold about Rs. 64 lakh in Fixed deposits and about Rs.80 lakhs in shares.

They also held LIC policies worth about Rs.50 lakh and jewellery of the order of about Rs.16 lakh, paintings and antique furniture valued at Rs.8 lakhs besides a revolver worth Rs. 45,000.

While neither of them own any agricultural land or commercial plot of land, Nafia owns a house worth about Rs.14 lakh in Nainital. A house in Delhi's posh Defence Colony in the name of her husband was valued at Rs. 2 crores and a flat in Gurgaon at Rs. 52 lakhs .
