Kanimozhi, Baalu skip swearing in

The were fewer political leaders and more relatives at the Ashoka Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday for the second round of swearing-in of ministers.

The prominent absentees were leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Left parties.

Also missing was Kanimozhi, daughter of Tamil nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, who was excluded for the council of minster. Similarly T R Baalu, leader of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Parliamentary Party, was not present.

Dayalu Ammal, Karunanidhi's second wife, was present to see her son M K Azhagiri being sworn in. Soon after the function Azhagiri promptly went to his mother and got a pat.

Also present was Karunanidhi's son M K Stalin who was seated next to Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi.
