"The argument that our party divided Marathi votes is baseless and just an excuse for losers," Raj told mediapersons in Mumbai.
"In Maharashtra, Marathi people vote for all political parties. So, it is ridiculous to say that they were divided due to MNS," he said.
Refuting allegations that MNS helped Congress by eating into votes of Sena-Bharatiya Janata Party, Raj said, "Congress got elected nationwide but my party contested only 12 seats in Maharashtra."
On the enthusiastic response MNS received to its maiden outing in parliamentary polls, Raj said, "We knew that people would vote for us but this was tremendous. I thank them."
