Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam chief M Karunanidhi discussed government formation with Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

Karunanidhi arrived in Delhi on Tuesday afternoon from Chennai was accompanied by his daughter Kanimozhi and grand nephew Dayanidhi Maran, sought ten ministerships for the DMK.

The formula worked out by 10, Janpath is that one Cabinet and one minister of state for every nine MPs of the allies parties. By this, the DMK, with 18 MPs, should get two Cabinet and two ministers of state.

Does it mean the DMK will accept the reduced number in the Council of Ministers? Time alone will tell but there is a lot of disgruntlement in the DMK as the number of MPs is reduced now.
