BJP promises 'better tomorrow' to woo voters

In this time of economic slowdown, the Bhartiya Janata Party is planning to woo the voters in the coming Lok Sabha elections through a positive television campaign entitled 'better tomorrow'.

The campaign- -- likely to be launched in a few days -- will be the BJP's second phase of media campaign for the Lok Sabha elections -- the first, with the theme of 'strong and decisive leadership' is already on through radio stations across the country and hoardings. The BJP campaign is being jointly handled by Frank Simoes-Tag and Utopia Consulting.

The 'better tomorrow' film series of one minute and 30 seconds duration will focus on the BJP's solutions to the problems of common man -- inflation, job losses, farmers' suicides etc, which, it attributes to the present United Progressive Alliance government's performance.

According to Siddharth Nath Singh, BJP spokesperson, the television campaign has been made keeping view the general mood across the country. "Instead of only finding fault with the incumbent government, we are offering BJP's solutions to what all has gone wrong,." he said.

Prasoon Joshi, ad-guru and Bollywood lyricist, has written the songs for the BJP's campaign films. One of them reads like this. Umeed so gayee hai Jagayein chalo, Kuch khwab kho gayen hai pa jayen chalo (Hope has fallen asleep, let us wake it; some dream are lost, let's find them).

There would be hoardings with nirnayak neta, majboot sarkar slogans under the visage of L K Advani, the party's prime ministerial candidate, which have come up across the country.

"This theme slogan would run across radio, television campaigns and also the hoardings,'' Singh said.

Hyping on the leadership of LK Advani, BJP's another slogan in the new advertisement campaign is Nidar neta chunenge hum, faislon mein ho jiske dum (We would choose a fearless leader, the one whose decisions carry
weight).
