Arun Pathak appointed Bihar governor advisor

Retired Indian Administrative Service officer Arun Pathak has been appointed as Bihar Governor Buta Singh's advisor after President's rule was imposed in the state on Monday night.

Pathak, former chief secretary of Bihar who retired in 1991, will now run the state administration.

Pathak, known for his honest image, will be entrusted with the responsibility of fighting crime and improving the overall law and order situation in the state.

Sources close to Raj Bhavan told rediff.com more advisors to Singh will be appointed soon.

Buta Singh had recommended President's rule on Sunday and dissolved the state assembly.
