Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi is believed to have asked Chief Minister Shibu Soren to reconsider the nomination of Congress member of Legislative Assembly Pradeep Kumar Balmachu as the pro-tem speaker.
This is because Balmachu is not the senior-most MLA of the House. The convention is that the senior-most legislator is nominated as the pro-tem speaker.
