To keep its flock together, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance on Friday sent all its 36 members of Jharkhand Assembly and the five Independents supporting it to Sariska in Rajasthan.

The MLAs, who were paraded before President A P J Abdul Kalam on Thursday evening, will likely go to Ranchi from Rajasthan just before the vote of confidence, BJP sources said.

Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi announced on Friday morning after his meeting with the President that he would advance the vote of confidence in the assembly.

The NDA wanted to give the MLAs a break and keep them together. That was why they had all been sent to Rajasthan, the sources said.

The BJP had taken its Goa MLAs also to Rajasthan soon after Governor S C Jamir had dismissed the Manohar Parrikar government.
