Shibu Soren, who was sworn in as Jharkhand chief minister on Wednesday, resigned as Union Coal Minister. Press Secretary to the President, S M Khan, said Prime Minister Manmohan Singhs recommendation to A P J Abdul Kalam has been accepted.
