Newly elected Congress members in Haryana will meet in Chandigarh on Tuesday to elect their chief ministerial candidate for the state.
All India Congress Committee general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said the names of candidates would be decided on Monday.
The Congress has returned to power after 10 years defeating Om Prakash Chautala's Indian National Lok Dal government.
The party workers from Delhi and Haryana celebrated at the party headquarters in New Delhi.
