A case of violation of model code of conduct has been registered against railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, Maharashtra power minister Rajendra Singh Darda and some others.
The Jinsi police station registered offences against the two ministers after they continued their Maharashtra election rally at Roshan Gate Area in the old city area beyond the permissible time limit on Thursday night.
Offences have also been registered against the NCP and Congress workers sharing the dais with the ministers.
The Election Commission has also sought a report from the district officials about the incident, sources in Mumbai said.
