Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Monday dismissed suggestions that there was no 'feel good factor' in Uttar Pradesh and expressed confidence that his Bharatiya Janata Party will win 60 seats in the state in the coming Lok Sabha election.

He, however, said the politics of Uttar Pradesh is caught in its own complexities and that impedes the state's growth and development.

"I don't think that there is no feel good factor in UP...we will be able to achieve our target," Vajpayee told reporters in Lucknow.

Downplaying differences within the party's state unit, the prime minister said that the policy of taking everybody along will succeed.

Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh, who recently returned to the party's fold, was seated next to the prime minister.

Vajpayee said the BJP was in power in UP and is currently leading a coalition at the Centre. "In such a situation, differences are bound to crop up...these are sorted out internally," he said.
