Militants hit Congress office in Srinagar

Ten people, including five security personnel, were injured in a militant attack on the Pradesh Congress Committee office in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, on Thursday.

There were between 10 and 15 Congress workers in the office, which was completely encircled by security forces.

One of the two militants involved was suspected to have entered the building.

Earlier, militants attacked a campaign vehicle of the National Conference with a grenade at Rambagh in city uptown.

Five civilians and a policeman were injured in the blast.
