The Election Commission has taken a leaf out of political parties.
On Tuesday, voters who were subscribers of Reliance and BSNL WLL service were in for a surprise SMS from the Election Commission urging them to vote.
'Please exercise your right to Vote - Election Commission,' the SMS read.
As the day progressed, the Election Commission sent to the Reliance subscribers messages asking voters, 'Have you exercised
A similar SMS signed by the BSNL Cell One mobile was also sent to its subscribers who also received similar messages on their landlines.
