Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on Thursday filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Lucknow.
Vajpayee was accompanied by senior party leaders Pramod Mahajan, Sushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh and Kalyan Singh.
Senior party leader Lalji Tandon, who is in the eye of the storm over the death of over 20 women in a stampede at an event organised to celebrate his birthday, was also present.
Vajpayee is seeking a re-election from Lucknow for the fifth consecutive term.
