Following the death of 21 women and a child in a stampede at a saree distribution in Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's constituency, Govinda has decided to avoid road shows during his poll campaign.

The popular actor is contesting against the Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Naik in the Mumbai North parliamentary seat.

Since he will now depend on door-to-door campaigning, he would henceforth begin his campaigning early in the morning to be able to meet the maximum number of people.
