There will be a realignment of political forces following the Bharatiya Janata Party's "historic victory" in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, party president M Venkaiah Naidu said on Thursday.

"Never in the history of Rajasthan since the days of Jan Sangh have we ever got such a majority," he said at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

He said the party would soon finalise the dates for the meeting of the legislature parties in the three states.

"The party will be deputing two representatives to each of the three states to oversee the election of the leader of the legislature party," Naidu said.

He also denied that the BJP wanted snap polls for the Lok Sabha.

"I want to say there is no suggestion before us for early Lok Sabha elections and we will accelerate the good work of government and take the country forward," he said.

The BJP chief said Thursday's results had given a boost to the party to work towards getting 300 seats on its own in the Lok Sabha.

"We want to make a strong India and a strong BJP," he said.
