Statistical highlights of the second match in the T20 World Cup between the West Indies and Ireland, at Providence·

- Left arm spinner George Dockrell -- at the age of 17 years 283 days -- became the third player to appear in a T20 World Cup match before turning 18. Others to do it are two Pakistanis -- Mohammad Aamer (17 years 55 days) and Ahmed Shehzad (17 years 196 days).

- Ireland's total of 68 is the second lowest all-out total in Twenty20 internationals, after Kenya's 67 against Ireland at Belfast on 04-08-2008.

- The above total is now the lowest total by any side in T20 World Cup. The previous lowest was Kenya's 73 against New Zealand at Durban on 12-09-2007.

- Darren Sammy's four catches are the maximum taken by a fielder in Twenty20 international match. The previous record of most catches by a fielder in a World Cup game was shared by five players –Brett Lee, SJ Benn,LMP Simmons, AB de Villiers & NL McCullum -- three catches.

- Only one batsman -- Gary Wilson -- reached double figures in Ireland innings. This provided only the second such instance in World Cup and third in all Twenty20 internationals (where a team was bowled out).

- Darren Sammy provided the third instance of a player scoring 25 runs and capturing three wickets in the same match in Twenty20 World Cup. Interestingly all three performances have come from the West Indies.

- Sammy also held four catches in the field, which makes him the first player in Twenty20 international history to score 25 runs, take 3 wickets and hold 3 catches in the same match.

- Extras were the top-scorer in Ireland innings with 19 (Gary Wilson's 17 were the highest by a batsman).

This provided only the second such instance in Twenty20 international history. In West Indies-South Africa game at Johannesburg on 18-01-2008, there were 29 extras in West Indies innings, while the highest contribution from the bat was only 24 (Dwayne Bravo).
