World T20: Discuss India's easy victory over England
September 24, 2012 16:53 IST

Harbhajan Singh and Piyush Chawla ripped through England's batting to earn India a crushing 90-run victory in the World Twenty20 Group A match on Sunday.

Chasing 171 for victory, England crumbled to 80 all out, their lowest Twenty20 total. It was the defending champions' their heaviest defeat in the shortest form of the game.

England collapsed from 39 for two to 60 for nine. And when Craig Kieswetter edged Piyush Chawla to Virat Kohli at slip for 35 their hopes of survival disappeared.

Both teams had already qualified for the Super Eight stage by beating Afghanistan, but England's feeble capitulation is major concern heading into the next phase of the tournament.

How did Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men make victory look so simple? What went wrong for England? Discuss that and more on the World T20 tournament with Manu Shankar on Rediff Zarabol on Monday, September 24, 1700 IST.
