Statistical highlights from the New Zealand vs Canada World Cup match played in Mumbai on Sunday

# Brendon McCullum has been adjudged the Man of the Match for the fourth time -- one each against South Africa, England, Canada and Pakistan.

# In the second batting Powerplay, New Zealand have totalled 74 for two wickets -- the most by any team, eclipsing Pakistan's 70 for one against Kenya at Hambantota on February 23.

# Canada (261/9) have posted their first total of 250 at the World Cup, bettering the 249 against New Zealand at Gros Islet on March 22, 2007.

# Bagai and Hansra have added 125 for the fourth wicket -- Canada's best for any wicket against a Test-playing side at the World Cup.

# The aforesaid stand is their second highest at the World Cup, behind the 132 by the same pair for the fourth wicket against Kenya at Delhi on March 7, 2011.

# Fifteen sixes were recorded in a World Cup game in the 2011 edition for the second time -- the first instance being New Zealand (13) and Pakistan (2) at Pallekele on March 8.

# Brendon McCullum has completed his 4000 runs during his third century in ODIs, aggregating 4006 (ave.29.24) in 189 matches.  He became the 8th New Zealander to achieve the feat.

# McCullum has posted two hundreds as a wicketkeeper -- the most by a New Zealander.

# McCullum has registered 225 (ave.75.00), including one century and one fifty in five games in the 2011 World Cup competition -- the highest by a New Zealander.

# Ross Taylor has totalled 212 in three innings at an average of 106.00, including one century and one fifty, in the present competition.

# Twelve sixes have been recorded in New Zealand's innings -- a record at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Fifteen sixes, including three by Canada, is a record in an ODI at this venue.

# Taylor is the first player to hit four sixes in an over in the 2011 edition of the World Cup, the bowler being Harvir Baidwan.

# Twenty eight runs (6,6,0,6,6 & 4) were posted by Ross Taylor off Baidwan's eighth over.

# Thirty one runs were recorded by Williamson and Franklin off Rizwan Cheema -- the most in an over in the 2011 edition of the World Cup. As Cheema sent two beamers, he was removed from the attack and the over was completed by Baidwan

# Taylor has posted his 20th fifty in ODIs -- his second in nine World Cup matches apart from a hundred.

#  Brendon McCullum (101 off 109 balls) has recorded his first hundred at the World Cup, eclipsing his 76 not out off 95 balls against Zimbabwe at Ahmedabad on March 4, 2011.

# Brendon McCullum became the first New Zealand wicketkeeper to post a hundred at the World Cup, eclipsing Lee Germon's 89 against Australia at Chennai on March 11, 1996.

# Ashish Bagai (84 off 87 balls) has recorded the second highest individual innings for Canada in the World Cup -- the highest being John Davison's 111 against West Indies at Centurion on February 23, 2003.

# James Franklin's unbeaten 31 off 8 balls is a record for the highest strike rate (387.50) in an innings of at least 30 in ODIs.

# Harvir Baidwan (12 wickets at 22.16 runs apiece) is the first bowler from Canada and the fourth in the present competition to bag 12 or more.  He has joined Shahid Afridi (15). Sulieman Benn (12) and Zaheer Khan (12).

# Baidwan's aforesaid feat is the best by a Canadian bowler in a World Cup competition, eclipsing John Davison's 10 wickets in six games at an average of 18.70 in 2002-03.

# Brendon McCullum is the second wicketkeeper to register a hundred and effect three dismissals in the same World Cup match.

# In the last World Cup final, Adam Gilchrist had achieved the double for Australia - 149 and three dismissals against Sri Lanka at Bridgetown on April 28, 2007

# McCullum is the first New Zealand wicketkeeper to register the double of three dismissals and a hundred in ODIs.

# Jimmy Hansra (70 not out) has recorded his second fifty at the World Cup, emulating his previous highest (70) against Kenya at Delhi on March 7, 2011.

# Hansra has totalled 212 (ave.53.00), including two fifties, in five matches -- the highest by a Canadian batsman in the 2011 competition of the World Cup.

# New Zealand's 97-run triumph is their 39th in the World Cup. Only Australia (53) have registered more victories than New Zealand.

# New Zealand have recorded wins in all three World Cup games against Canada.

# New Zealand (358/6) have recorded their second highest total at the World Cup -- their highest is 363 for five against Canada at Gros Islet on March 22, 2007.

# New Zealand's aforesaid total is the first of 300 or more at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, surpassing the 299 for four by India against Sri Lanka on January 17, 1987.
