The most hundreds in the World Cup

Sachin Tendulkar became the batsman with maximum hundreds in the World Cup when he hit a record fifth one in the mega event as India posted an imposing 338 all out in their Group B league match against England in Bangalore on Sunday.

The 37-year-old went ahead of Australia's Mark Waugh and Ricky Ponting, and former teammate Sourav Ganguly, who have scored four hundreds each in World Cup matches.
